Do you love the modern boho look and want to bring it indoors to your wedding? Well, at our Dream Capture workshop we did just that!

Nataly of Nataly J Photography and I held our first Dream Capture styled shoot workshop last summer. The original plan was to do the shoot on the beach but the weather had other plans! The wind on the beach that day was absolutely horrendous so we had to go to plan B. (Thank goodness we had a plan B! And actually as a side note, if you are ever planning a wedding or a shoot yourself, always always have a plan B! You can’t trust British weather and pinning all your plans on a calm, sunny day is just asking for trouble!)

And you know what? Plan B actually worked out for the best and The Cherry Barn in Kent turned out to be the perfect backdrop for our eclectic beach-styled boho shoot.

With styling and planning by the incredibly talented Valentina from The Stars Inside, she created the most dreamy palette of warm tones and nudes. I’ve worked with Valentina on so many projects and she never ever fails to create magic with whatever she touches.

With the most incredible team on board: stationery by Jenna from Wonderland Invites she created the prettiest palette of chocolate and nudes for the stationery, decorated with gorgeous tassels.

The furniture and table scape accessories were provided by The Collect Co, complete with wonderful shell chandeliers! The brides Georgina and Lauren wore dried flower crowns by Folky Dokey, raffia crowns by Klatso and the most incredible gold halo crown by Ziptie Jewelry  made entirely out of zipties!

With two couples and 4 beautiful gowns by Love in Lace Bridal, our attendees were spoilt for content and dreamy boho inspiration.

If you’re a budding wedding photographer or even an experienced one looking to build your business, styled shoots are a great way to build your portfolio and get some extra content for your website and social media. I honestly don’t know where I’d be today if I hadn’t invested in styled shoots when I was starting out.

Wedding photography is an easy thing to get into, but a difficult thing to succeed in. Whether it’s building your portfolio or building your brand, there are so many obstacles to overcome if you want to quit your day job and go full time. That’s why at Dream Capture we offer beautifully styled shoots to help build your portfolio, followed by business and brand management workshops to help you get your business where you want it to be.
