I started ‘Rebecca’s Movie Moments’ a few weeks ago, aiming to recreate scenes from some of my favourite movies.
Dirty Dancing was the first and I have a few more on the list, which are coming soon. But for some reason I just couldn’t shake the idea of recreating the famous scene from American Beauty in which Lester dreams of Angela. One of the most iconic movie scenes in years and one that I just find stunning. It’s a truly magical scene and I impulsively decided…you know what? Let’s just do it! You’ve got to make things happen and with me once I have an idea, a thought or desire in my head, I’ll do it!
I got in touch with Maegan and Carrie from Toto Caelo, told them what I had in mind and without a moments hesitation they said yes. They didn’t once ask how we were going to do this, the logistics…nothing! It was incredible, they trusted me so much. I ordered 3000 petals off eBay and visited the flower wholesalers on the morning and we made it happen.
