They say couples that camp together stay together, right? Toasting marshmallows over a crackling fire as the night closes in around you, exploring the woodland, kicking off your boots and listening to the crickets outside while you’re all cosied up together inside the tent. Whether you’re outdoorsy or not, there’s definitely something super romantic about camping under the stars with your love!
That’s the vibe Russell had in mind when he created the concept behind this adorable couple adventure session at The Dreys called, “Wandering Hearts”.
He wanted to create a story around a couple adventuring together under the stars in the great outdoors. Complete with a bell tent provided by Beneath the Canopy, and styling by Locate to Create, the simple but magical set up seemed to transport us to the tranquil wilderness of another country.
If you’re looking for an outdoor wedding venue, look no further than The Dreys. Boasting beautiful woodland and 80 acres of land to camp on, it was the perfect setting for our shoot. Also, with options to marry both outdoors and indoors, and a super cool indoor reception area where you can party the night away, it’s no wonder it’s such a popular wedding venue! It felt like we were exploring around the great outdoors of Yosemite, or one of the other national parks of America.
The soundtrack for the shoot was Taylor Swift’s new album, “Folklore” (ideal for the whole outdoorsy-American wild vibe!) At the end of the day, we all sat around the campfire, chatting, laughing, singing to Swifty and eating delicious gourmet marshmallows by Copice Cakes (the Cherry Bakewell was my favourite).
