Maria and John’s wedding in Beldi Country Club was nothing short of immaculate. Stylish, exotic, endlessly photogenic. And all of it backdropped by this iconic wedding venue in the heart of Marrakech.

Blending Moroccan opulence, modern elegance, and a joyful use of colour- this dream team of planners brought us something truly special.

But my favourite thing about this wedding was the couple themselves, Maria and John. Considerate, fun, instinctively kind. So infectiously happy; so wildly love. And when the heavens opened, they watched the rain together and waited for the rainbow.

If you’ve been dreaming of having your wedding in Beldi Country Club, come take a look. This bucket-list wedding is one I’ll never forget.

The iconic Beldi Country Club in Marrakech

Some wedding venues are in a class of their own. And Beldi Country Club- with its 37 acres of tropical gardens, lilly-dotted ponds, and ancient olive groves- is one of those venues.

It’s a place of waving palms, ornate alcoves, and sundrenched courtyards. There’s rose gardens, spas, ponds, and pools. There’s a charming riad, an epic ksar, a palm house, and its world-famous ballroom, “L’Orangeraie”

And if you’re feeling peckish, you can sit in the world-class restaurant and gaze across the gardens to the Atlas Mountains.

To wander through this beautiful hotel is an experience in itself. To have your wedding in Beldi Country Club would be truly unforgettable.

Bridal styling inspiration for your wedding in Beldi Country Club

Our morning began in the peaceful rooms of Beldi Country Club.

Maria’s bare feet padded on sun-warm stone. Birds chirped from among the olive trees; lillies burst open on the pond.

And oh my, Maria looked exquisite.

She wore a stunning gown from Blush Bridal, with a deep-V neck, low back, and gorgeous silk train. Her hair and makeup was elegant, and natural. And her bouquet– an explosion of blush roses, African marigolds, and delicate pink carnations.

It was the first of three bridal looks that day. And (while I still can’t choose a favourite!) this first look was flawless. Elegant, effortless, timelessly beautiful. And the perfect bridal look for a wedding in Beldi Country Club.

This is your sign to have a ‘First Look’

In a clearing among the palms, John waited for Maria. Nervous, excited; looking casually suave in his chocolate-brown suite.

And after a few minutes, he heard footsteps on the path behind him. His heart did a bunny-tumble, and he felt a tap on his shoulder.

They read each other their personal vows, kissed, and hugged. And shared a few intimate moments alone, just for them.

They strolled hand-in-hand through the secluded gardens. And as the rain began to fall, they found shelter in an archway and listened to the raindrops.

A little while later, the sun began to shine, and a beautiful rainbow arched across the Morrocan sky.

An intimate wedding in the Beldi Country Club palm house

The Palm House at Beldi Country Club is a stunning place to say your vows.

Natural light pours through the high glass walls, and ceiling. Tropical plants, bushes and grasses spill from the balconies. And high above you, banana trees wave their giant leaves overhead.

The styling was understated, and elegantly rustic. The welcome sign: printed on fabric and hung from a simple wooden frame. The escort cards: small tags hung from an ancient door.

And in a gorgeous splash of colour, a backdrop of floral urns from The Bloom Room Marrakech.

John’s sister officiated the ceremony. It was romantic, deeply personal, and utterly beautiful.

And when the ceremony was over, John and Maria sealed it with a kiss, and bubbles and fresh rose petals filled the air.

Fezzes, lanterns, and stolen kisses

We had dinner in the spectacular Beldi ballroom, “L’Orangeraie”

Moroccan lanterns filled the ceiling above us, candles flickered, fezzes sat stacked. Huge white drapes framed the archways. And in subtle bursts of colour- gorgeous toffee and blush florals sat in vases along the tables.

We ate, we drank. Maria and John held hands, ate cake, and stole kisses. And with the darkness gathering outside, we headed into the courtyard for the party.

An Amaria entrance, and a Nadine Merabi dress

The evening party was incredible!

It all started with John and Maria making *the most* epic entrance. Maria looked stunning in her second bridal look of the day. And each of them was carried high on a traditional Moroccan Amaria.

Flood lights filled the courtyard, a live band brought the energy. And Maria changed into her third look of the night- a playful, fun, completely vibey, Nadine Merabi dress.

Guests danced, music played, and we partied beneath the stars well into the night. It was the perfect way to end the perfect day, with the perfect couple. And I’d do it all again in a heartbeat.

Maria and John’s wedding was an unforgettable experience.

The night before, we dined in the Agafay Desert, rode camels, and watched the stars. And on the morning after the wedding, we gathered by the pool, and told half-remembered stories from the night before.

And for me, this is how a destination wedding should be. Beautiful, intimate, hopelessly romantic. And above all- forever grounded in the moment.
